Windows 7 has reached its end of life as of 14th of January 2020.
Windows 7 has not received any programs updates, patches or bug fixes since January 13, 2015. But now, as of 14th January 2020, there will be no more security patches.

Windows 8/8.1 Users. Please Note. You also Should update as well. You will not only enjoy a much better Operating System, But Mainstream Support also finished on January 8, 2018. (Security Patches finish January 10, 2023).

What does this mean to users of Windows 7?

This means if you continue to use Windows 7 you will become very susceptible to internet attacks, hacking and can even end up with your computer becoming what is called a BOT. A Bot is where someone else has more control over your computer than you do and it can be used for attacks on all sorts of other computer systems all over the world. This is something no one really wants and it contributes to the overall insecurity of the whole internet.

So, What do you do about it?

There is a couple of options.
1. You could buy a new computer with Windows 10 already installed.
2. You can in most cases upgrade your computer to the Windows 10 operating system, and it is still FREE for people with a Genuine Windows 7 (or Windows 8) License on their computer.
